I had a great day today. This morning Grant, Missy, and me headed out to the old light house that sits on top of Navy Hill to help Beautify CNMI with cleanup. We love the light house and have been there a couple of times to just hang out and enjoy the view from atop. The light house had overgrown trees, trash, grafitti, and debris laying around. So we were excited to hear that Beautify CNMI was cleaning up the place and restoring the historical site.

We got there around 10 in the morning and just helped out with sweeping the inside of the light house, picking up trash, and pulling weeds. It was a good turn out. We also were able to meet a legistator, Rep. Waki. We were just talking about how we wanted our church to be more active with community projects. He was very appreciative and said the best way to share our message was being involved with the community in this very way. I think Rep. Waki said it best "be proactive not reactive." So I am excited that Women's Ministry will lead out in helping Beautify CNMI with various projects.

Later in the evening, Grant and I headed out to Micro beach for a swim before sunset. We attempted to swim out to the ship wreckage and got about 3/4 of the way but had to turn back because it was getting dark. Before we headed back, we took a break about half way in the water and just watched the sunset. How lucky are we to be out here in such a beautiful place.

Please refrain from saying nice things about Rep. Waki. That man does not need any more encouragement...he's already had enough.

lol.
