We Love Saipan!

My best friend since the second grade, Rae, drove me to LAX airport and walked me to my departure gate. With my passport in hand, I turned around and began to say my goodbyes. I couldn't even speak at first. I get a little teary eyed even thinking about that moment because I knew that my life would change. Though I knew God was leading me to somewhere that He could grow me, I was a little anxious about being away from everyone I knew and loved. In the midst of the busy airport terminal with passengers scurrying from left to right, Rae and I prayed together. I'll never forget that moment. I was ready for the next phase in my life.

Moving to Saipan was the best decision I have ever made. I've been on island for almost five months! Its really hard for me to believe how fast time has flown by. Whenever I'm driving down beach road on a crystal clear day, diving in paradise, or watching a beautiful sunset I still have to pinch myself because I can't believe I'm here! During my stay here I have had so many great adventures and have met so many wonderful people.

I have made some new friends online and we all have one thing in common: We Love Saipan! We want everyone to know that Saipan is an amazing place to visit and live. As we live and work in Saipan we blog about our daily lives, struggles, views on politics, and adventures. Tonight I finally met some of the people that I have been interacting with online. It was nice to finally put a face to a name. Tonight gave us a chance to get to know each other better as well as help each other out with tips for blogging better. For someone like me who is computer challenged, I needed all the help that I could get. Here's to new friends and coffee!

Awww, I see some familiar faces there! I wish I'd had the time to go to the meet-up. Maybe it would motivate me to post more often. If only I weren't so busy. . .
