Corona Del Mar Beach

I can't stay away from the beaches. Wherever I end up settling down it will have to be by a beach. Michael and I headed out after church to Corona Del Mar for some beach volleyball action. There are a couple of dive spots out here in orange county that I was contemplating on doing but its just too cold. Definitely not as nice as Saipan's Beaches.

Corona Del Mar beach holds some happy memories for me from highschool. Its the beach that we would always have beach vespers at. We'd come out in the afternoon to play beach volleyball, bbq veggie hot dogs, and have church outdoors while the sunsets. Corona Del Mar is lined with mansions towering over the cliffs. I always wonder what the heck these people do for a living. We thought this house was nice.

Its a little chilly out here. I thought I was coming down with a cold but I really think its the smog out here. I miss Saipan's clean air=)

Queen Of The Beach

Twelve ladies including myself will be competing for the Queen of The Beach volleyball title. Come watch us play volleyball on Sunday, April 29 at 9 am. The volleyball tournement will be held at PIC. We are doing this volleyball tournement to fundraise for the CNMI Autism Foundation. I need atleast five sponsors or more who can donate $10 each. Any support would be much appreciated=) Hope to see you there.

Get Sandy!

Today was a good day. I went to the Pacific Islands Club (PIC) with Missy, Layla, and Brit to watch EJ and Michelle compete with the other ladies for the Mariana's cup. We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather. It was bright and clear not a cloud in the sky. I was really surprised how many local teams we had competing this year. We also had a lot of teams from Guam and Japan.

There were over 15 girls' teams and slowly the teams were eliminated throughout the day. EJ and Michelle are beasts on the court! I thought they complemented each other really well. They're very competitive and I think thats what makes them such great players. Unfortunately they didn't make it to the semi finals but they had a great run=)

While I was watching them play, I was getting hyped up for the beach volleyball league that starts in March. I can't wait to get on the court! As I was watching the games today it reminded of me of when I played back home. There were six of us. We were all filipinas and we played indoor tournaments throughout high school and college. We were the team to beat back then. Ahhh, such good times.
